The Dahlia symbolizes drawing upon inner strength, making a dramatic and lasting change in one’s life and following your own unique path. That is precisely what we want to do at Dahlia Grove. Our business seeks to employ, empower, inspire and encourage the women rescued from human trafficking as they regain their independence and freedom.
Our goal is to train and employ the women who have escaped the bonds of human trafficking to host and cater weddings, retreats, and corporate events. Our goal is to be the best facility in the Charlotte area for retreats and weddings, giving impeccable customer service and unparalleled beauty. We aim to create an atmosphere far exceeding those venues that already exist in the Metrolina area.
In addition to employment, Dahlia Grove offers various opportunities for these women to find healing through mentoring, financial coaching, finding a community of love and acceptance. We help connect them to resources to ensure their success in finding affordable housing and job placement. As we continue to grow, we will provide a two year program where they can live rent free for two years enabling them to focus on healing and recovery giving them the confidence and strength to move forward into employment and affordable housing.
“The recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons, by means of the threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation.”
Currently we have a GoFundMe campagin started to begin accepting donations. We are currently pursuing purchasing, and outfitting a multi-purpose property to help house and employ the women working for Dahlia Grove. The property will both support catering events, and housing for women employed with Dahlia Grove.
Your donated funds help to provide transportation, education, job training, clothing, counseling, medical care, for the women with which we work. The funds help furnish their apartment, downpayment on cars...all the things they will need to survive in the world. All of these things set them up for success.
